I feel ashamed, really.
First of all, the fact that Mexico is crazy about Guiness records is frankly disgusting, why? Because there's a million things we could do with the resources wasted on stablishing those records!
The world biggest meatball? The world biggest pie? Well, yes nice. It looks pretty and lot of people will enjoy it. Yes, but that people enjoying it will be people who actually have enough money to eat. Why don't you share that food with people who doesn't have it? Uh?
You would still have the world biggest fucking meatball (And pie) and yet we would have helped a little.
The government aiding people into dancing Thriller? Cool! That way people will forget about the crisis and the whole crap that seems to happen everyday.
See, we Mexicans have that kind of mentality, because we've been teached to be stupid.
We've been teached something like this: "Well, yes it's been a hard year, but look! We have records"
Honestly it's disgusting.
People should stop being all happy about having records and start realizing that the fact that other people broke a record doesn't make YOU a title holder, and it doesn't make anything better for the country.
Seriously.
There's this declaration, that shows the Mexican mentality about the whole thing.
First of all "we" sounds like too many, you weren't there Rocio, so it isn't we it is "They" don't get confused (Of course, if the record had failed then she would have said "they" because failing isn't cool right?)
Second, what does making the biggest taco changes?
It helps Mexico? It give us money? It solves the drugs problem? It prevents insecurity? It helps poor people? It improves our education?
I have an answer.
If "they" can make the biggest taco, then "they" are closing their eyes to the reality of this country, and allow crime, insecurity, poverty, corruption and all that crap to grow!
Seriously people, you make me angry.
Besides, I can see the president "Yes, let them have Tacos, that way they won't ask"

Mexico’s record-breaking frenzy, analysts say, reflects the desire for world-class status, and its acknowledgment that on many fronts it is not yet there.
“It’s a way for us not to think about all the difficulties, the conflicts, the killings, the economic crisis,” said Rocío Valdéz, 25, a receptionist. “Yes, we’re in bad shape, but if we can make the biggest taco in the world. ...”
If we can make the biggest taco in the world, WHAT?First of all "we" sounds like too many, you weren't there Rocio, so it isn't we it is "They" don't get confused (Of course, if the record had failed then she would have said "they" because failing isn't cool right?)
